iOS users that are on the search for a 3D scanning system to create digital copies of larger real life objects for 3D printing and similar, and dismissed the itSeez3D iOS app in the past. Might be interested to know its developers have this week rolled out a new update that has increased the scanning resolution of the app by 50 percent.
The hand held companion application is used with a scanning hardware module the Occipital Structure Sensor that is attached to an iOS tablet and provides a cost effective way of scanning larger objects that would otherwise be impossible to do on a desktop 3D scanner.

We also believe there is a lot of potential for full body scanning in the entertainment industry. Eventually, 3D photos will become as essential as 2D photos are today”
