Yesterday it seemed that Amazon had decided to back track on its decision to hide rival e-reading applications on its Kindle Fire tablet, that were already available on its Android Store, it now seems.
One of the e-reader applications created by Wattpad, noticed the exclusion and approached Amazon about the issue. Which resulted in Amazon changing its policy for all makers of mobile e-reading apps.
However now it currently seems that all e-reading applications apart from Wattpad have now been removed from the listings according to infromation on the Tech Crunch website:
Update: Wattpad’s Amy Martin points out to me that, while she’s certain that there were multiple e-reading apps in the listings yesterday evening, right now it’s back to Wattpad only. We’re trying to find out what’s up with that.
As more information comes to light on exactly whats happening, we will keep you updated.
