Since the iPhone OS 4.0 was announced yesterday, and the iPhone OS 4.0 SDK a number of features have been revealed that will be available in the next generation iPhone, the iPhone 4G.
It looks like the iPhone’s camera will finally get a built in flash, something which is present in most of the new smartphones that are currently being released.
The guys over at Apple Insider discovered some code in the iPhone SDK 4.0, and the code has to new references called AVCaptureDevice.hasFlash, AVCaptureDevice.flashMode and AVCaptureDevice.hasTorch.”, so it looks like we may see a flash added to the camera on the iPhone 4G.
We are hoping that Apple will announce the iPhone 4G at their WWDC in June, lets hope it has a serious upgrade over the iPhone 3GS and not just a minor one like the last time.
