At September 10th event, Apple announced that iOS 7 will be available for download starting September 18. The company didn’t mention the exact time when users can expect the update, but based on past trends and release timings, all iOS 7 betas were made available at 10AM Pacific Time. So, based on release times for previous iOS versions, it is safe to assume that iOS 7 release time should be 10AM Pacific/5PM GMT.
We are also waiting anxiously for the update to roll out. If you are based in UK, iOS 7 is expected to roll out at 6PM British Summer Time (BST) or 5PM GMT. For Asian countries, the expected release time is 1AM (September 19th) for Hong Kong and China. The folks at RedmondPie have created a chart with a list of major cities worldwide with expected release times.

Updating your device should be simple and easy. You can either update via over-the-air (OTA) by going to Settings > General > Software update or you could simply connect your iOS device to iTunes and install the update. In case you decide to use the second method, make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed. Before doing so, make sure you create a complete backup of your device.
