Intel already supplies Apple with processors for its Mac line on computers, and now according to a recent report, Intel wants to produce Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch processors as well.
Apple currently uses processors that they have designed themselves, and are produced for them by Samsung and TMC, and the possible deal would see Intel manufacturing non Intel processors for Apple for the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Apple TV.
Apple is currently in a legal dispute with Samsung over a number of various patents, where both companies have accused each other of infringing on each others patents, and Samsung is now a competitor for Apple with its range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
