We’ve seen rumors about the Android Silver, and that LG is not the manufacturer of the upcoming Nexus device. But, we’ve seen rumors suggesting that upcoming Nexus tablet will be manufactured by HTC.
It seems the HTC tablet rumors may be correct. According to a new report, HTC’s upcoming Nexus tablet will be known as HTC Volantis, and will feature an 8.9-inch display sporting a resolution of 2048 x 1440 pixels resolution.
The folks at Android Police were provided with information about the alleged HTC Volantis, including the complete set of specifications it will offer. Android Police feels its the right information, and said they’ve been hearing about the alleged tablet since the first quarter of 2014.
Coming over to the specifications, the alleged HTC Volantis is said to come with a NVIDIA Logan 64-bit processor with 2GB of RAM on board. The tablet will come with two storage options: 16GB and 32GB, and there’s no word if it will feature a microSD card slot, but we doubt it will since all Nexus devices doesn’t offer expandable storage.
Other features include 8MP camera with OIS, 3MP front-facing camera, double front-facing speakers, WiFi and LTE connectivity and should come with the latest version of Android. At first glimpse, it looks quite like the LG Nexus 5 from the back, the camera and the overall look of the tablet.
It’s not just the specifications, they also managed to get some information about the price tag it will come with. The 16GB WiFi model is expected to come with a $399 price tag, while the 32GB version is rumored to cost $499. As far the LTE version is concerned, it should be considerably expensive, possibly over $600, according to Android Police.
We’ll update you as soon as we get more information about the HTC Volantis. Until then, let us know what you think about the alleged HTC Volantis tablet.
