It’s been a few days since HTC officially unveiled their latest flagship device, the HTC One M8. The handset went on sale in the UK and USA on March 25th, along with Taiwan, the company’s home country.
As far as the sales are concerned, I’m not sure if we’ll find the exact figure for the number of units sold in almost a week, but it seems the handset is doing quite well, at least in the company’s home market.
Focus Taiwan reported that HTC One M8 went on to a very good start in Taiwan. The publication doesn’t have any exact sales figures, but report the orders have been doubling since its launch on March 25th. According to the local handset distributor, “Demand is higher than supply right now.”
It seems the handset might be able to open up a new chapter for HTC. We haven’t got our hands on it yet, but by the looks of it, and the reviews, it looks like a pretty solid handset.
There are no reports from UK or the US about any supply issues, which means HTC shipped enough units of the HTC One M8 to cater the demand in the two major markets.
For those who can’t recall, HTC One M8 rocks a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage with a microSD card slot, Duo camera with 4MP and depth sensor, 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,600 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI.
