We’ve seen a decent amount of leaks about the Android 5.0 Lollipop roll out for HTC handsets, and it seems the moment has finally arrived, at least for a few.
Recently, HTC’s Mo Versi took it to Twitter and announced they have received technical approval from Google, and are rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the HTC One M8.
There’s a catch here, it’s only for the developer and unlocked editions of the handset, but now that it’s rolling out, it won’t be long before other regions get it too. As far as the carrier-branded versions are concerned, they may have to wait a little longer as the update process is a little more tedious and depends on your operator.
The update is sized at over 500MB and brings a handful of new features on board including the improved lock screen notifications allowing you to handle then with a few simple taps, ability to see recent apps and more.
The update is rolling out as we speak, but it may take a little while to reach all devices. If you can’t wait for the OTA, you can manually check for the update from the Settings. Let us know if the update has arrived on your HTC One M8.
