Today Google has rolled out a new update for its Android Google maps application, which brings with it a number of new features. Together with providing improved battery life for Latitude and Location History users and fresher locations for friends in Latitude. Other new features include the Transit Navigation (Beta) can now use vehicle speed to estimate your location if your GPS signal is lost.
As well as increased route options for public transit directions from 3 to 4, and a handy way to report feedback to Google directly from the settings menu, with the Android Google Maps application. Google Maps for Android is now available to download for free from the Android Market.
