Google Glass may be the next big thing. Recently, giant streams of rumors are circulating on the internet suggesting that Google Glass will be available at an affordable starting price of $299. Many authority blogs covered it and we were among them too who reported that it might be $299. It turns out all these rumors were incorrect. It will not cost as low as $299 but it will definitely be lower that $1,500.
Jason Gilbert from Yahoo News managed to get information from unknown sources that are close to Google about the price of Google Glass and concludes that it will definitely be higher than $299. There were no exact detail revealed about the exact price of the device but it is expected to cost the same as a flagship smartphone – definitely not $1500.
If we take a closer look at the history of Google, they are more known for releasing affordable devices with close to high-end specifications. Consider the Nexus devices and tablets, they bring some of the best features and are available for a nominal price compared to other devices with similar specifications. Google Glass may not be the same as mobiles and tablets but we do hope that Google will launch it for an affordable price and not $1500.
