Google have rolled out a new update v2.3.5 to their already impressive Android Gmail application, which adds a few extra features that are well worth upgrading for. In the latest update Google has added new performance improvements and a feature to help save your battery life by allowing you to now only sync your priority mail.
Other new features include, new additions enabling you to use label notifications to mash up filters, labels and ringtones. So you can now set up custom ringtones or vibrations for each label notification and email received, or set it just for the first email to arrive depending on your preference.
The new Android Gmail update also includes new options for messages, within the new “Message Actions” found in the settings section of the Gmail app. The new options allow you to set the orientation of the messages displayed while reading in either landscape or portrait.
