Gigabyte has this week officially launched its new Gigabyte BRIX Projector mini PC system which has been designed to provide users with a compact computer/micro projector solution in one, that is equipped with a 75 lumen LED bulb.
The new Gigabyte Brix Projector is fitted with a Intel Core i3-4010U “Haswell” processor supported by integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 and supports Wireless N and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
It also support up to 16 GB of SO-DIMM DRR3L 1.35v RAM and can take an onboard 256 GB on an mSATA SSD both of which need to be provided by yourself. The Gigabyte press release explains that the new system operating system ideal for:
“Students living away from home can use the BRIX Projector as their main PC for assignments and course work, using the projector to enjoy movies and other entertainment during down time. Families will also appreciate being able to conveniently use the BRIX in any room in the home,”-“Young children can enjoy cartoons in the bedroom, while older children can use it for everything from homework to PC gaming.”
The LED backlit Gigabyte BRIX Projector is equipped with its own HDMI input port and is also fitted with a small 1.5 W speaker together with the ability to switch power off to the PC allowing you to just use a projector if required.
