As the name suggests Five combines a variety of different drawing, measuring and drafting tools into one handy device offering a compact marking and measuring tool designed by Franck Grossel based in Nantes, France. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the inspiration construction and features of the Five, which is this week launched by Kickstarter to raise the required funds it needs to go into production.
“For more than 6 years, I studied and worked as a cabinet maker in France. When I was in the workshop, I always used special tools for special tasks. A few years later, when I started studying Product Design, I wished to create something that could be an alternative for specialised tools that we may not always have to hand and that are expensive. Five is an intuitive tool, made in France, that marks and measures every step of your project. From creation to production.”
Five is available in two different additions either constructed from clear plastic or from a screen printed layered edition. Combining set square, protractor, 150mm ruler and curve.
