Epson has announced a very interesting new home theater projector for enthusiasts looking to get their hands on a 3-D compatible projector. The projector is called the PowerLite Home Cinema 2030 and it supports full HD resolution, 3-D content, and 2-D content. The projector uses 3LCD technology inside providing lots of adjustability to suit different room designs.
The native resolution of the projector is 1920 x 1080. Epson rates the projector for 2000 lm of color and white brightness. An integrated speaker means you can listen to movies and other video content without having an audio system available.
Viewing 3-D content does require RF 3-D glasses, which are sold separately. An image of up to 300 inches can be thrown on any wall or screen and the projector supports MHL connectivity for mobile devices. The projector also supports various integrated color modes to optimize picture for various settings and screen surfaces. The projector will ship soon for $999.
