Epson launched their Epson Moverio smart glasses back in 2012, and now the company has launched their second generation smart glasses, the Epson Moverio BT-200.
The Epson Moverio BT-200 are apparently 60 percent lighter than the previous model and come with a wide range of new features.
Sporting a sleek, light design, the Epson Moverio BT-200 is a true binocular display using a miniaturized LCD-based projection lens system and optical light guide in each side of the glasses. The Moverio platform’s advanced binocular optical system projects see-through overlays of digital content onto the real-world in the center of the smart glasses’ field of view. Enabling a seamless blend of the physical and digital world, the Moverio BT-200 technology platform makes a new world of augmented reality applications possible for consumers as well as commercial enterprises.
The glasses also comes with a control unit and it can project digital content onto a transparent virtual display that has a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
It comes with a front facing camera for Augmented Reality, built in motion sensors, and a dual screen for 3-d display.
The Epson Moverio BT-200 will go on sale in <arch, and will retail for the same price as the previous model, which is $699.99.
