Bandai Namco and developers From Software have today announced that a Dark Souls remastered version is currently being created and will be made available later this year to play on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC systems. The announcement was made during Nintendo’s Direct event and when details of a new PlayStation 4 Dark Souls Remastered bundle were also unveiled. In the form of the Dark Souls Trilogy boxset that includes a copy of the new Dark Souls Remastered as well as Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, and Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition. Other goodies included in the remastered bundle include soundtracks for each game, knight and bonfire bookends, an encyclopaedia, and a unique art set as pictured in the image below.
The Dark Souls Trilogy bundle is expected to be made available throughout Japan on May 24th, 2018 and will be priced at roughly $450. Unfortunately, worldwide availability has not been revealed as yet, but I’m sure you can expect similar bundles to be made available throughout the US and Europe. As soon as more details are announced, we will keep you up-to-date as always.
The Dark Souls remastered game will be launching on May 25th, 2018, providing improved graphics that are capable of running at 60fsp and will include the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. HD 1080p resolutions at 30 fps will also be available when playing Dark Souls remastered on Nintendo Switch. Another nice feature of the remastered version is the ability to enjoy multiplayer gameplay with up to six players.
