HTC recently launched their new HTC One M8, the device is made from premium materials, and according to a recent report, HTC have a cheaper version of the handset in the works.
The cheaper HTC One M8 will apparently come with a plastic casing, and it is said to be launching in China first, and will apparently retail for 3000 yuan (about $483).
The current HTC One M8 retails for 5299 yuan (about $853) in China, so this new model would almost be half the price of the existing HTC One.
HTC will apparently keep the internal specifications of the plastic HTC One M8 very similar to the existing model, whether or not it will still be called the HTC One remains to be seen.
There is the possibility it could be launched as the new HTC Butterfly, although we did hear recently that this model would not come with an Ultrapixel camera.
As soon as we get some more details on this new cheaper version of the HTC One M8, we will let you guys know.
