Canon has added a new compact camera to its range with the launch of the Canon PowerShot N, which comes with a 12.1 megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5 Image Processor, plus 8x optical zoom and a 28mm wide-angle lens.
The Canon PowerShot N features a 2.8-inch capacitive tilt-touch LCD display, and it is capable of recording full high-definition video in 1080p, and comes with a dedicated movie button.
“An ever-increasing number of internet users continue to post their own photos and videos online,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies & Communications Group, Canon U.S.A. “The new PowerShot N opens up a new dimension of photographic expression, helping people express their personal style and creative flair with powerful innovative Canon technologies.”
Advanced Features for Creative Photography
The Canon PowerShot N is designed to cater to the needs of both amateur and professional photographers who are looking for a compact yet powerful camera. One of the standout features of this camera is its Creative Shot mode. This mode automatically creates five unique images from a single shot, each with different compositions, color tones, and lighting effects. This allows users to explore various artistic interpretations of their photos without needing advanced editing skills.
Additionally, the camera includes built-in Wi-Fi, enabling users to easily share their photos and videos on social media platforms directly from the camera. This feature is particularly useful for those who love to travel and want to share their experiences in real-time.
Enhanced User Experience
The 2.8-inch capacitive tilt-touch LCD display is not just for viewing photos and videos; it also enhances the user experience by allowing intuitive touch controls. Users can easily navigate through menus, adjust settings, and even focus on subjects by simply tapping the screen. The tilt feature is particularly useful for shooting from various angles, whether it’s a low-angle shot of a flower or a high-angle shot of a crowd.
Moreover, the Canon PowerShot N is equipped with Intelligent IS (Image Stabilization), which automatically selects the optimal image stabilization mode for the shooting condition. This ensures that photos and videos are sharp and clear, even in low-light conditions or when using the zoom function.
The camera also supports high-speed burst shooting, allowing users to capture fast-moving subjects with ease. This is ideal for sports photography or capturing playful moments with children and pets.
The Canon PowerShot N will go on sale in April and will be available in a choice of either white or black. It will retail for $299.99, making it an affordable option for those looking to upgrade their photography gear without breaking the bank.
