The Canon 4K camera has been developed to showcase Canon’a new 4k resolution technology. The Canon 4K is a multi-purpose video and still photo camera with a popup digital display enclosed in a lightweight compact case.
The 4K is equipped with a 8 megapixel 2/3-inch CMOS sensor, with video recording specifications that are approximately quadruple the resolution of 1080p.
Design to record video firstly and still photos as a second feature the Canon 4K can shoot video at up to 60 frames per second in a resolution of 7680 x 4320. Which is 2 x sharper than Samsung’s planned ultra definition 3D TV will be able to display. So any ideas you might have of HD video will definitely be covered.
Unfortunately there are now plans by Canon to release the 4K camera to the commercial market but I am sure the 4K technology will soon become available in main strema cameras in the near future.
