If you remember or owned the original Commodore 64 you can now relive those days with an upgraded retro version of the original Commodore 64 named the C64x.
The new C64x looking every-bit like the original from 1982 is a modern fully functional PC fitted with Dual Core 525 Atom processor and the latest Nvidia Ion2 graphics chipset and 2 x DDR2 667/800 Single Channel DIMM slots, upgradable to 4 GB.
The new Commodore 64 keys are the exact same shape as the original and are color matched taupe brown against a beige color case.
The Cherry brand key switches, provide a much improved responsiveness than the original using with an IBM classic mechanism and click sound.
Fitted with Ion2 graphics the C64x can provide 1080p HD quality video playback and 6 Channel High Definition Audio for the complete home theater experience and it seven allows you to play all your favourite 8 bit games.
Unfortunately there is no information on pricing or launch dates at the moment, but we will keep you posted.
