Bioshock fans who thought the worst might have happened to the new Bioshock Infinite game, after rumours and news about the new game was skipping trade shows such as E3 and Gamescom, amid reports of trouble development at Irrational Games.
Will be pleased to learn that a new trailer has now been released by Irrational Games for the new Bioshock Infinite together with a reinforced release date of February 2013.

After the rumours, news and speculation of troubled development where circulating whilst earlier this year it was thought that Bioshock Infinite would miss its February 26th release date. However that does not seem to be the case anymore.
“Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative and gameplay experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky.” Enjoy!
New Features and Gameplay Mechanics
BioShock Infinite is set to revolutionize the franchise with its innovative gameplay mechanics and rich storytelling. Unlike its predecessors, which were set in the underwater city of Rapture, BioShock Infinite takes place in the floating city of Columbia. This change in setting brings a fresh perspective and new challenges for players. The game introduces a new protagonist, Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton agent, who is tasked with rescuing a young woman named Elizabeth. Elizabeth is not just a damsel in distress; she has unique abilities that are crucial to the gameplay and storyline.
The game also introduces the “Sky-Line” system, a network of railways that allows players to traverse the city quickly and engage in dynamic combat scenarios. This adds a layer of verticality to the gameplay, making combat more strategic and engaging. The AI for enemies and Elizabeth has also been significantly improved, making interactions more realistic and challenging.
Anticipation and Community Reactions
The BioShock community has been buzzing with anticipation ever since the first announcement of BioShock Infinite. The delay in the release date and the absence from major trade shows like E3 and Gamescom had fans worried about the state of the game’s development. However, the release of the new trailer has reignited excitement and confidence among fans. The trailer showcases stunning visuals, intricate details of Columbia, and a glimpse of the intense action sequences that await players.
The community’s reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Forums and social media platforms are filled with discussions about the new features, storyline theories, and speculations about how the game will tie into the broader BioShock universe. Fans are particularly excited about the relationship between Booker and Elizabeth and how it will evolve throughout the game.
