Despite not being shown anything of Beyond at Sony’s recent Playstation event (likely because this is a Playstation 3 game for the moment) despite game director David Cage’s presence on stage, Beyond is apparently getting an October release. Chances are Beyond will see a PS4 port before too long though, especially as its projected release date is fairly close to the new PlayStation’s holiday release window.
Joining game protagonist Ellen Page is Willem Dafoe, who will be playing some sort of scientist looking into Ellen Page’s strange powers. The game’s mystical overtones recall Cage’s earlier effort Indigo Prophecy, but with the studio’s increased profile expectations are also a lot higher. The game is out October 8th in the US with no date beyond October given for Europe.
