In a rare move from a carmaker known for its precision-engineered automobiles, Audi has applied its design smarts on skiing and what you see down below are the prototypes for the Audi Carbon Ski.
Conceived and designed with the assistance of head, whoa re expert at making skis, Audi hopes this new product will bring the Audi brand in palce sit never has gone before. Like snowbound mountain slopes where these will be used next winter.
The skis might look super-shiny and futuristic, but they’re actually a combination of materials. The core is wood covered in aluminum-titanium layers. To top it off is the dark black carbon fiber outer shell, which is almost a trademark of Audi’s.
Since the skis are in their concept phase, there’s no word yet on pricing, official release, and other peripheral factoids. You can expect them to be in a ski slope near you next winter.
