Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 900 landed in the US recently, and the device is expected to go on sale in Europe shortly, the US version is available exclusively through mobile carrier AT&T.
Nokia and AT&T are betting big on the Lumia 900, with AT&T reported to have a hefty marketing budget for the device, and now AT&T has said that sales of the device are ‘exceeding expectations.
Unfortunately AT&T didn’t reveal any actual sales figures for the Lumia 900, so we have no idea how well the device is selling, it will be interesting to see just how well the handset is doing when we get some actual details from Nokia.
Yesterday we heard that Nokia had sold over 2 million Lumia smartphones in the first quarter of 2012, and with the launch of the Lumia 900 in the US in the second quarter we are suspect that Nokia will end up with a higher figure for the second quarter.
