ASUS has this week introduced a new addition to their range of convertible laptop systems announcing the imminent release of the new ASUS NovaGo which is equipped with a battery capable of providing up to 22 hours of use on a single charge 30 days of standby. The ASUS NovaGo ships with Microsoft’s Windows 10 S operating system installed, although there is an option to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro if preferred for free before September 30th, 2018. After which costs will be involved.

Internally the ASUS NovaGo is equipped with Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile processor to date, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that can be supported by up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. The system includes a 13.3 inch screen providing users with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. ASUS have also included an integrated Qualcomm X16 Gigabit LTE modem. The extended battery life when compared to other convertible laptops is thanks to a new way the laptop enters sleep mode when the display iThiss turned off, rather like a smartphone, saving battery life when not in use. The ASUS NovaGo then instantly bounces back into life at the press of a button.

SUS NovaGo, one of the world’s first Windows on Snapdragon laptops, defines truly connected mobility. With its Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, this ultrathin and light convertible laptop takes you further — giving you an always on, always connected computing experience. ASUS NovaGo features a Gigabit-Class Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 LTE modem for download speeds that exceed that of your home Wi-Fi. It also boasts a battery life up to 22 hours — twice that of current laptops. On top of that, additional stylus support makes ASUS NovaGo perfect for entertainment and productivity on the go, while a Nano SIM or built-in eSIM ensures seamless connectivity across borders.

ASUS explains that the entry-level ASUS NovaGo convertible laptop equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage is expected to sell for around $600 while the system equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage will be priced nearer $800. Unfortunately no details on exact availability dates have been released as yet by ASUS but as soon as more details become available we will keep you up to speed as always.
