If you have deep pockets and enjoy quality sound, you might be interested to know that later this month on February 21st 2014 the new Astell & Kern AK240 Media Player will be launching and is currently available to preorder for around £2,200 or $3,680.
As you might have guessed by its price the Astell & Kern AK240 Media Player is aimed at the higher end of the market and is the latest device in a long line of ultra high quality portable music players which have been created by Astell & Kern.
The Astell & Kern AK240 Media Player is equipped with a 3.31-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display offering a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and offers an output level of unbalanced 2.1Vrms + 2.1Vrms / balance 2.3Vrms + 2.3Vrms (no load) with up to 32bit (float / Integer) / 192kHz bit to bit decode together with 256GB NAND flash storage onboard.
Other features of the Astell & Kern AK240 Media Player include wireless IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity together with the ability to accept microSD cards up to 128 GB in size expanding its storage to 384GB. It is also equipped with a rechargeable 3,250 mAh 3.7V lithium polymer battery and supports both Windows and Apple Mac operating systems.
“The AK240 features a dual-core processor which allows the player to handle multiple requests and play high-resolution audio files with no lag, and users will also be able to connect to music download sites and download directly to the player or stream music from their PC from the local network.
