The holiday season is approaching fast, but if you haven’t already put up your decorations or would like to add a few more you might be interested in this awesome Christmas tree which is powered by Arduino.
The Arduino powered Christmas tree has been constructed by Zach Burhop an aerospace engineer and industrial designer and uses a 2m strip of nano pixels, 3D printed ornaments and a custom star also created using Arduino. The 3D printed ornaments were printed using a Solidoodle 3D printer and inspiration came from a combination of things, Burhop explains a little more about his creation:
“My birthday is Christmas day, so I wanted to try to do something different this year. I was very disappointed in what you can buy–mostly just classical decorations. I saw the ornaments and had started playing around with the LEDs and thought this would be an awesome mashup!”
