The Apple CEO, Tim Cook was at the launch of the iPhone on China’s largest mobile carrier yesterday, China Mobile, the carrier is also the worlds largest mobile carrier.
Apple selling the iPhone on China Mobile is a big deal for the company, and is expected to boost iPhone sales by between 10 to 30 million per year.
Today is just the beginning of China Mobile and Apple coming together to deliver the best experience in the world,” Cook said as a few dozen people came in to look at the iPhones on display. China Mobile said Jan. 15 it signed a multiyear agreement with Apple containing “broad potential” for future cooperation.
The Apple CEO handed out signed iPhones to the first China Mobile customers, he also posted the photo above on Twitter.
