Yesterday when Apple announced the new iPad 2 they also announced a new HDMI adapter which is designed to let you connect your iPad 2 to a HDTV or a large display.
The HDMI adapter is capable of outputting Full High Definition video to your HDTV from your iPad 2, and it seems it will also work with the original iPad, plus the iPhone 4 and also the iPod Touch, although it will only do 720p with those devices.
Video mirroring makes it possible to share what’s on your iPad with an even bigger screen and an even bigger audience. Which is huge for your movies, photos, presentations, and lessons. Just attach the Apple Digital AV Adapter (sold separately) to your iPad, and you can watch a movie in your living room on your HDTV.
The Apple Digital AV Adapter will go on sale later this month and it will retail for $39, more details over at Apple.
