Apple’s iMac is due for an update later this year, the current iMac models were announced back in July of 2010, so we should expect to see the 2011 iMac’s launching in July of 2011.
It turns out that we may see the new 2011 iMac’s a little earlier this year, according to CNet’s Brian Tong who recently announced on Twitter that we could see the new iMac’s hitting at the end of April or beginning of May.
EXCLUSIVE: My Sources: New iMacs en route by ocean to U.S. available end of April or 1st week of May. No major cosmetic changes.
We have no details on what will be inside the new 2011 iMac’s but we suspect they will feature Intel’s latest processor and we also reckon they will come with Intel’s Thunderbolt technology for fast data transfer that was added to this year MacBook Pro’s.
