Almost a month after releasing the iOS 8.1.1 update, Apple is now seeding the latest iOS 8.1.2 which comes in with a few bug fixes on board. The latest iOS 8.1.2 update carries a 12B440 build number and surprisingly enough, it wasn’t seeded to developers before.
The update is not really big, and is sized at around 30MB depending on your device. The change log mentions it fixes the issue that caused ringtones purchased through iTunes to be removed from the device.
This has been an annoyance for many iOS users who found out that there ringtones are deleted. Apple has even shared a link for those who suffered so they could restore their purchased ringtones easily.
There are a few unnamed bug fixes on board as well, but Apple didn’t specify what they are so they will just offer improved stability and performance on iOS devices.
The update is rolling out over-the-air for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices. Let us know if you notice any other bug fix in the latest update.
