Apple’s iOS 9 was released on Wednesday and now we have some details on how popular the next version of Apple’s mobile OS is.
After a little more than 24 hours of Apple’s iOS 9 being available, adoption of the new OS is close to 20%, the news comes from Mixpanel and you can see more details in the chart below.
According to the chart, 19.09% of all iOS devices are now using iOS 9, iOS 8 has dropped down from 87%, this is what it was sitting at before the latest release, to 73.02% and older versions of Apple’s OS are sat at 7.9%.
The adoption rate of the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS appears to be similar to the adoption rate of iOS 8 when it was released last year.
It will be interesting to see how adoption of the new version stacks up over the next few weeks,and how long it will take for iOS 9 to be more popular on devices than iOS 8.
