Apple is expected to launch Apple iOS 7 around the 16th of September, and now according to a recent report, Apple has started training its AppleCare employees for iOS 7.
Apple iOS 7 is a complete re-design of Apple’s mobile OS, and it comes with a completely new look, plus a wide range of new features. Apple is apparently training their employees on the major differences between iOS 7 and iOS 6 to ensure they can provide the best support to users.
New Features and Design
One of the most noticeable changes in iOS 7 is its visual overhaul. The new design features flatter icons, a more vibrant color palette, and a cleaner, more modern aesthetic. This is a significant departure from the skeuomorphic design of iOS 6, which often mimicked real-world textures and objects.
In addition to the visual changes, iOS 7 introduces several new features. Control Center is a new addition that allows users to quickly access settings and apps with a swipe up from the bottom of the screen. The Notification Center has also been revamped, providing more detailed information and a new “Today” view that gives an overview of the day’s events, weather, and more.
Another major feature is the introduction of AirDrop, which allows users to share files and media with other iOS devices nearby without the need for an internet connection. This feature is expected to make file sharing between Apple devices much more convenient.
Enhanced Multitasking and Security
iOS 7 also brings improvements to multitasking. Apps can now update in the background, ensuring that the latest information is always available when you open them. This is a significant improvement over iOS 6, where background updates were limited and often required manual refreshes.
Security has also been enhanced in iOS 7. The new Activation Lock feature makes it harder for thieves to use a stolen iPhone. If someone tries to turn off Find My iPhone or erase the device, they will need the owner’s Apple ID and password to reactivate it. This is expected to be a strong deterrent against iPhone theft.
We are expecting to hear more about Apple iOS 7 next week, when Apple is also expected to launch the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. There is a rumored date of the 10th of September for Apple’s press event, although this has yet to be confirmed by Apple.
The iPhone 5S is expected to feature a faster processor, improved camera, and possibly a fingerprint sensor for added security. The iPhone 5C, on the other hand, is rumored to be a more affordable version of the iPhone, aimed at emerging markets and budget-conscious consumers.
The launch of iOS 7 marks a significant milestone for Apple, with its complete redesign and host of new features. The training of AppleCare employees underscores Apple’s commitment to providing excellent customer support and ensuring a smooth transition for users upgrading from iOS 6. As we await the official announcement, the anticipation continues to build for what promises to be an exciting update to Apple’s mobile ecosystem.
