We have been hearing rumors for quite some time that Apple are working on an iPad mini, a smaller version of the iPad which is rumored to come with a 7.85 inch touchscreen display.
According to Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, Apple has a 7.85 inch iPad in its test labs, and he also said that this smaller iPad features the same resolution as the iPad 2 with a 1024 x 768 pixel display.
Apparently the device is a prototype, so there are no details on whether we will ever see a smaller iPad go on sale, but it looks like Apple could at least be considering it if the have a prototype in testing.
