Yesterday we heard that Apple may announce the new iPhone 5 on the 4th of October. Over the past few months, there have also been persistent rumors that Apple will launch a new, cheaper version of the iPhone 4, which is rumored to be the iPhone 4S.
Now, according to Apple board member and former US Vice President Al Gore, who was speaking at a recent conference, Apple will have new ‘iPhones’ coming next month.
Not to mention the new iPhones coming out next month.’ Then he quickly added ‘That was a plug.’”
Of course, he could have just been talking about the various rumors we have all heard that Apple is going to launch two new iPhone models, but considering he is on Apple’s board, there could be more to it.
What to Expect from the iPhone 5
The iPhone 5 is expected to come with a host of new features and improvements over its predecessor. Rumors suggest that it will have a larger screen, possibly around 4 inches, compared to the 3.5-inch screen on the iPhone 4. Additionally, it is expected to feature a faster processor, possibly the A5 chip that is currently used in the iPad 2, which would make the device significantly more powerful.
Another anticipated feature is an improved camera. The iPhone 4 already has a 5-megapixel camera, but the iPhone 5 is rumored to have an 8-megapixel camera, which would allow for higher quality photos and videos. There are also speculations about a redesigned body, which could be thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4.
The iPhone 4S: A Cheaper Alternative?
The iPhone 4S is rumored to be a more affordable version of the iPhone 4, aimed at capturing a larger market share by appealing to budget-conscious consumers. It is expected to have similar specifications to the iPhone 4 but with some cost-cutting measures to reduce the price. This could include using cheaper materials or reducing the storage capacity.
One of the most exciting features that could be included in both the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S is Apple’s new virtual voice-activated assistant, Siri. Siri is designed to make it easier to perform tasks on the iPhone using voice commands, such as sending messages, setting reminders, and searching the web. This feature could be a game-changer in terms of how users interact with their smartphones.

The potential release of two new iPhone models could be a strategic move by Apple to cater to different segments of the market. By offering a high-end model with all the latest features and a more affordable model with essential features, Apple could attract a wider range of customers.
