Its been rumoured for sometime that the Android Market might be undergoing a few changes as Google prepares the site to compete with other major media providers. The a discovery of new URLs seems to suggest that the new services could be ready for release any time now and Google is preparing to upload new content to the Android Market.
The new URLs include : https://market.android.com/books, https://market.android.com/music/, https://market.android.com/apps/, and https://market.android.com/movies which currently redirect back to the homepage.
Hoever the existence of the new URLs might suggest that Google is readying new content and reserving these directories for future use, since just any other random subdirectory will result in a “not found” error.
The new content when it arrives is sure to provide a large revenue stream for both Google and Android developers and media sold though the market might be linked to other Google services such as YouTube.
