Acer has launched a new 34 inch curved monitor this week to offer a more affordable display when compared to the Acer XR341CKA that supports Nvidia G-Sync, unveiled back in April.
The new Acer XR341CK monitor combines a curved screen with AMD FreeSync technology providing users with a 3,440 x 1,440 pixel resolution on an adjustable aluminium stand.
The Acer monitor also comes equipped with Acer EyeProtect add-ons and picture-by-picture functionality together with 100 percent sRGB colour accuracy. Ports on the new Acer curved monitor include USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0, a DisplayPort and miniDP together with a pair of 7 W speakers and a DTS audio system. Acer writes in todays press release :
By wrapping around the gamer’s field of view, the curved 21:9 panel draws gamers deeper into the action for a more fully immersive experience. The wide field of view increases the perceived area of peripheral vision compared to a flat display of the same size.
The sleek 34-inch curved zero frame design lets gamers absorb visuals comfortably without blind spots. It also provides maximum viewing area and is perfect for multi-monitor setups and daisy chaining for an even broader view.
Thanks to an ultra-high QHD (3440×1440@75Hz) resolution, pictures are amazingly sharp and realistic. FreeSync, AMD’s version of Adaptive Sync technology, allows the GPU to control the display’s refresh rate to eliminate tearing and stuttering, and reduce mouse latency, which enables smooth gameplay at virtually any framerate.
