AXXA has just released details of a new Pico Projector they have added to their range called the AAXA P1 Jr.
A pocket-sized projector that AXXA says is the world’s smallest LCOS pico projector with an onboard MP4 player.
The AAXA P1 Jr. Pico Projector is fitted with a 10 lumen LED light, so you will need to use it in a darkened room to get the best use. This level of brightness is typical for pico projectors, which are designed to be portable and convenient rather than to compete with full-sized projectors in terms of brightness and image quality.
Compact and Portable Design
One of the standout features of the AAXA P1 Jr. is its incredibly compact size. Measuring just 105mm x 56mm x 20mm and weighing only 126g, it is truly pocket-sized. This makes it an ideal choice for business professionals who need to give presentations on the go, as well as for students and travelers who want to enjoy multimedia content without the bulk of traditional projectors.
Despite its small size, the P1 Jr. is capable of projecting an image up to 50 inches in size. This is quite impressive for a device of its dimensions and makes it suitable for a variety of uses, from impromptu movie nights to quick business presentations. However, it’s important to note that the best image quality will be achieved in a darkened room, as the 10 lumen LED light is not powerful enough to compete with ambient light.
Battery Life and Usability
The included rechargeable battery provides approximately 60 minutes of use on a full charge. While this may not be sufficient for longer presentations or movies, it is adequate for shorter sessions. For extended use, the projector can be plugged into a power source. The battery life is a common limitation among pico projectors, but the convenience of portability often outweighs this drawback.
The AAXA P1 Jr. also features an onboard MP4 player, which adds to its versatility. Users can load their media directly onto the projector, eliminating the need for additional devices. This makes it a convenient all-in-one solution for multimedia playback. The projector supports a variety of file formats, ensuring compatibility with most media files.
In terms of connectivity, the P1 Jr. offers multiple input options, including a composite AV input and a microSD card slot. This allows users to connect a range of devices, from smartphones and tablets to laptops and gaming consoles. The inclusion of a microSD card slot is particularly useful for those who want to carry their media library with them without relying on external devices.
The P1 Jr. pico projector is available to purchase for $119.99 (currently reduced from $134). This price point makes it an affordable option for those looking to add a portable projector to their tech arsenal. Given its features and capabilities, the AAXA P1 Jr. offers good value for money.
Overall, the AAXA P1 Jr. Pico Projector is a compelling option for anyone in need of a portable projection solution. Its compact size, onboard MP4 player, and multiple connectivity options make it a versatile device suitable for a range of applications. While its brightness and battery life may not match those of larger projectors, its portability and convenience make it a worthwhile investment.
