It’s been a long time coming but the Aakash 2 $35 Android tablet will finally be arriving in India next month. The Aakash 2 Android tablet formally known as the Ubislate 7+ or the DataWind was expected to arrive in India during April of this year.
But finally after a few months of delay the Aakash 2 Android tablet will be available to purchase for $35. The Aakash 2 will be supplied running Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
But the tablets developers say they will be rolling out Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system a few months after the Aakash 2 tablet launches.
The Aakash 2 Android tablet is equipped with a 7 inch touchscreen display, and powered by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor clocked at 1GHz, supported by 512MB of RAM, with 4GB of internal storage for data, file and media.
Its been rumored that the company has already taken 5.5 million orders for their new Aakash 2 Android tablet, over the past few months.
