Eken has announced this week that their $99 B70 Android tablet will be arriving in the US very shortly. The Eken B70 tablet will be supplied running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, and comes equipped with a capactive touchscreen 800 x 480 pixel display.
The Eken B70 Android 4.0 tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor, supported by 512MB RAM. No details have been released as to whether the B70 will receive Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Onboard it is fitted with 4GB of internal storage and comes with 1 x USB, 1 x mini USB and a microSD card slot, as well as microphone and internal speaker.
Even though the Eken B70 is currently priced at $99, that could drop even lower if distributors in the US deal directly with Eken, when compared to site that currently have to ship the B70 from overseas.
