Toshiba has this week started shipping its new network attached storage (NAS) device in the form of the Toshiba Canvio Home which is available in either 2TB or 3TB storage capacities.
Toshiba has specifically designed a new Canvio Home NAS solution for the consumer market with easy setup and the ability to access documents and files remotely when required at any time from any location, without the need for any monthly subscription to a cloud storage service.
Other features of the new Toshiba Canvio Home NAS drives include in-home streaming to view media and films wirelessly on your HD TVs through your home network, as well as official Mac support. Toshiba explains a little more about how easy a new NAS storages to set ups and access files from your mobile devices with Andriod and iOS applications.
“When many hear “Network Attached Storage” they think “complicated.” Canvio Home was designed specifically to address this concern with easy-to-install and easy-to-use software for all the most important functions.
Set-up is a no-brainer for anyone with basic knowledge of computer hardware and software. Then, once it’s up and running, you and your community of users will have no trouble logging in and finding the files and other content you want, thanks to a single application with a clear menu and intuitive interface.
Across town. Visiting relatives in the next state. If you have Internet access, you’re close to your Canvio Home. So ping your Canvio Home to watch that vacation slideshow with friends and family, download your master’s thesis, or listen to your favorite Playlists. The iOS and Android apps let your tablets and smart phones join in, too.”
The Toshiba Canvio Home is available for $150 for 2TB or $195 3TB of storage. For more information on the new Toshiba Canvio Home jump over to the Toshiba website for details.
