In the past, we’ve seen companies launch gold-plated version of popular flagship devices, and sell them at an extremely premium price.
If you’re not a big fan of the gold iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus, and have some extra cash lying around, a Chinese company Navjack has created a 24k gold-plated version of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The front and back of the device comes with 24 karat gold plating, including the inside of the Touch ID embedded home button. The company further added an extra layer of Gorilla Glass 3, possibly to make the device more drop and scratch resistant.
The device further ships with a premium box which makes its even more exclusive. There’s no word about the pricing or the number of units available, but don’t expect it to be cheap. Rest assured it’s going to come with an hefty price tag.
The internals remain the same, carrying a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display respectively. To be honest, the gold-plating do make the device more premium, but it doesn’t look to good to hold as the normal iPhone.
Anyone want to get hold of the gold-plated iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.
