Chevrolet has announced the official 0-60 mph times for the 2020 Corvette C8. The automaker says that the Z51 package will reach 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, which is blazing fast.
The base version of the car is very nearly as quick with a 0-60 mph time of only 3 seconds. The better acceleration for the Z51 comes thanks to its extra five horsepower and five pound-feet of torque. Chevy has also given up its quarter-mile times.
The Corvette will do the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds with the Z51 package. Less drag makes the base car faster at 123 mph at the end of that run; the Z51 does 121 mph. The car has been delayed to a February launch, thanks to the UAW strike.
