Samsung has taken the wraps off their new Galaxy Player 5.8 this week, which is equipped with a 5.8 inch LCD screen providing a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
The Galaxy Player 5.8 has Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system installed, together with the latest version of TouchWiz, Samsung’s touch interface which was developed in-house.
Some specifications for the new media player still need to be revealed by Samsung, but what we do know is that the Galaxy Player 5.8 will be available in either 16GB or 32GB versions, and includes a microSD slot, a front VGA, and is fitted with a 2,500 mAh battery.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Samsung, but as more information is unveiled at IFA 2012 later this week we will keep you updated.
