If you have been waiting to get your hands on the new Ouya console which started its life as a Kickstarter crowd funded project you will be pleased to know that the first devices have now started being made available in retail stores both as announced after a slight delay.
However almost immediately after being made available online via Amazon both in the UK and US the Ouya console has already sold out and is now in a 1-3 weeks waiting period for orders to be delivered.

So if you are hoping to get your hands on one of the new Android games consoles whenever it appears in a retail location near you or online you will need to be quick with your cash to be able to bag one.
To re-cap the Ouya console is powered by a Tegra 3 Quad-core processor supported by 1 GB LPDDR2 RAM and includes 8GB of onboard flash memory together with HDMI connection to the TV at 1080p HD and WiFi 802.11bgn and Bluetooth LE 4.0 connectivity.
“On OUYA, gamers can try out every game with no obligation to buy, and new games are uploaded constantly. Games are ranked based on the “fun factor,” not revenue or number of downloads, with all games and apps digitally delivered – meaning no more discs to buy, and you own your games forever. To date, more than 17,000 game creators worldwide have registered to make an OUYA game — from established publishers like Sega and Square Enix, to emerging studios like Double Fine Productions, Tripwire Interactive, and Kim Swift’s Airtight Games, and up-and-coming indie creators like Matt Thorson and Adam Spragg – ensuring a steady stream of games spanning familiar genres to mind-blowing, out-of-this-world game experiences”
The Ouya console also runs the Android 4.0 operating system allowing you to enjoy games and apps directly from the custom game store. For more information on the new Ouya console jump over to the Ouya official website for more details and supported games.
