MorphPad Combines A Physical Keypad And Touchpad In One

At the moment mobile phones either feature a keypad or a touchscreen, although some of the newer models are now featuring both. A company called Pelikon has developed a new type of keypad, designed for mobile phones that combines both these functions into one, the Morphpad.

As you can see from the video below the Morphpad looks like a standard QWERTY keypad that is features on many of the mobile phones today, but it can also be used as a touchpad and it features LED backlighting which can be programmed to display a number of different functions on the keypad.

Twitter Advertising

An article from All Things Digital is reporting Twitter is gearing up to lauch its new Twitter Advertising model which will allow it to server adverts on its search results.

The Twitter advertising scheme will be launched in the first half of this year together with a few new updates to the Twitter system. The updates will apparently make desktop Twitter tools such as Tweetdeck or Seesmic redundant.

Archos 7 And Archos 8 Home Tablets Get Official

Archos has added a couple of new tablets to its range with the launch of the Archos 7 Home Tablet and the Archos 8 Home Tablet. Both of these new devices run Google Android.

Rare Stadium Events Game Fetches $41,300 in Auction

A copy of the rare NES game Stadium Events that was released in Europe during 1988 and in the US in 1997 has been sold for a whooping $41,300 or £27,102 on eBay. The copy was still in its original shrink wrapping and saw bidding climb from an starting bid of $6.16 to its final price.

PlayStation Network Problems

Sony is continuing to experience problems with its PlayStation network after a weekend of errors including, logging users out of the service and preventing them from playing online games, game trophies being deleted from consoles and previously downloaded games cannot be played offline. These problems have even effected their latest release Heavy Rain which could not be played offline.

Sony says it is aware of the problems and is trying to find a fix as soon as possible releasing an update this morning to try and eradicate the errors. But not stating why these problems on PSN have occurred in the first place.

JooJoo Tablet Delayed Until March 25th

Remember the JooJoo Tablet, which was due to ship at the end of last month? Well it looks like the former CrunchPad is now delayed until the 25th of March 2010, which would put its release date at a similar time to the new Apple iPad.

According to Fusion Garage, the delay in the JooJoo Tablet has been caused by a manufacturing issue, as there were problems with the 12.1 inch touchscreen display.

Intel Atom N470 Processor Gets Official

Intel has officially announced their latest processor in their Atom range, which is designed to be used in netbooks and nettop PCs, the Intel Atom N470.

The Intel Atom N460 is faster than the popular N450 processor, with a clock speed of 1.83GHz and it comes with 512KB of L2 Cache, it also supports DDR2 667 RAM.

Google Nexus One Coming To Vodafone UK April

Google’s [GOOG] first smartphone has been available in the US for some time now, it looks like it is now headed over the pond to the UK, and it will be available on the UK mobile phone network Vodafone.

The Vodafone Nexus One will be sold exclusively from Google’s website at Google.com/phone, and it looks like it will be available sometime in April 2010.
