Google recently released the Android Wear 5.1.1 update, which brought a new Google Maps app to Android Wear smart watches, the update also brings WiFi support to some devices.
The addition of WiFi support to Android Wear devices allows you to continue to receive notifications and more without a direct Bluetooth connection to your smartphone.
So far a number of devices support the new WiFi feature, this includes the LG Watch Urbane, the Motorola Moto 360, the Samsung Gear Live and the Sony Smartwatch 3.
We suspect that more devices will get the WiFi support in the future, although as yet there are no details on what other devices will get WiFi support, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
