Back in August, Volvo unveiled its latest new car model called the XC90. That SUV has some interesting tech packed inside the cab. Volvo has now announced a new app that is available right now for Android users and will be landing on November 18 for iPhone users.
The app can be downloaded free and it is intended to be used along with the Google Cardboard virtual headset for best performance. If you don’t have one of those cardboard headsets, you can use the app alone. The app lets fans of the XC90 go on a virtual test drive down a mountain road.
The app runs best on the iPhone 5 or higher, Samsung Galaxy S4 or higher, Galaxy Nexus, Google Nexus 4 or higher and the Moto X. The XC90 has available AWD and comes with a forced induction engine producing 316hp and maximum 295 lb-ft of torque. If the virtual test drive with Google Cardboard convinces you to buy one of the SUVs, you can get Scandinavian delivery that allows you to buy the car in the US and then pick it up overseas for free.
