Vive Has also announced its newly updated Vive video service created with the help of Vimeo. To provide virtual reality users an easy way to find VR content and provide a service that removes the need for consumers to save their video files locally. Since its launch just over a year ago offering support for 2D, 3D, 180 and 360 degree content, Vive Video has consistently been one of the most-downloaded and highest-rated toolsets within SteamVR, says Vive, enabling users to easily view and have access to 180 and 360-degree video content.
In addition to new features and user interface upgrades to the video service, Vive Video has integrated content from Vimeo in the new Vive Video experience, providing VR Vive users with a a curated selection of Vimeo content will be available to browse and view within the Vive range of headsets. The newly updated Vive Video software application is now available to download for both the HTC Vive and Daydream platforms.
