Verizon have now seen the light and dropped their $35 connection fee for Android tablets. Verizon have never charged to connect iPads to their service but for some reason thought they could squeeze a little more money from Android tablet owners.
As we all know it takes very little to actually connect the tablet to a service provider, and there has been no talk of charging connection fees for iPad 2 purchases. The good news is if you have bought an Android tablet after the 1st March, you can expect a $35 refund as the dropped connection charges are being rolled back to the 1st March.
Now when you go to buy your Android tablet you will see a $35 activation fee on your bill, but hopefully right next to it there will be a lovely credit from Verizon cancelling it out.
